Welcome to Ski Season 2022/2023!
It’s official! We’re kicking off the 2022/2023 ski season this Saturday, November 19th. First chair takes off at 9:00am, and we can’t wait! Thanks to equipment upgrades this season, plus some prime snow-making temps the mountain is lookin’ mighty fine in her white winter coat.
We’d like to give a huge shout-out to our snowmaking team who has been working almost non-stop the past few weeks to build a quality base for opening day!
We’re planning to be open and having a blast daily, from Saturday through the end of the season! Stay tuned for more updates and information as we get this season rolling!
What terrain will be open?
Guests will load Lift 1 (Purgatory Express) at the base and can then choose to ski down West Fork and El Diablo to Lift 2 (Engineer) or down Paradise to the midway point on Lift 6 (Needles). The Headwaters Terrain Park will also be open. Return to the base by riding Lift 1 back down.
No beginner or low-level intermediate terrain will be available. Please refer to the snow report for the most up-to-date information regarding open lifts, trails, and snow data throughout the season.
There will be no access via the Columbine Lift. Please use resort shuttles if you park in the Columbine lot.

Prices go up the closer we get to opening day! Check out our variable pricing calendar to find ticket rates and make your purchase!
If you’ll be skiing 3-5 consecutive days this winter, check out or multi-day tickets. Lock in rates as low as $59 a day, then choose your dates whenever you’re ready. Hurry! These are going fast. Sale ends December 11.
Pro Tip: If you have your Purg Card from last season, you can skip the ticket office. After purchasing your lift tickets, just “activate” your Purg Card via the link in your confirmation email and enter your existing Purg Card number.

What restaurants will be open?
The Powderhouse: 11:00am to 3:30pm
Purgy’s: 10:30am-5:00pm and 5:30pm-9:00pm
The Bear Bar: 10:30am-4:30pm
Village Market & Deli: 8:00am-4:00pm
It’s more fun with a celebration
Let’s do opening day right:
– Enjoy FREE pancakes with “POWDER”ed sugar and syrup, cooked on a griddle right at the lift from 8:00am to 9:30am.
– Catch some live music with local artist Leah Orlikowski on Purgy’s Patio from 1:00pm to 4:00pm
– Then join us for a party & giveaway with New Belgium at the Bear Bar from 3:00-4:00pm.
