What guests are saying

  • “The resort itself was nice. We vacationed in late July and looked forward to the summer activities at the resort. The pizza place was delicious, if a bit pricey, and there weren't really any other food options that weren't 20-30 minutes away in Durango. Activities opened between 10-10:30 each day and seemed to close earlier than they should have because of the rain, which came and went. People at the resort were friendly and somewhat helpful. Our main COMPLAINT is that we drove 13 hours to have a restful and relaxing 5 day vacation, however, 2 of the 5 nights we were there delivery trucks (semi trucks) arrived at 4:30 in the morning and were backing in between the condo buildings, using their loud beeping backup alerts and air brakes. Each time, this lasted from 30 minutes to an hour, waking us up, keeping us awake, and we couldn't go back to sleep. That was very annoying, especially because most units do not come equipped with air conditioning and guests have to sleep with their windows open to have any air circulating throughout the condo, which made the beeping alerts even louder than an alarm clock. The entire problem could be solved if they would insist that delivery trucks arrive after 8:00 A.M. When asked at the front desk how our stay was, I expressed all of this information, and the lady at the front desk said, “Well, that's normal for a resort.” No it isn't, ma'am; we've been to plenty of resorts. We will definitely look at staying in a more private condo in the vicinity the next time we go. We did have a great time, despite the lack of sleep we got!”
