Updated October 2023
We’re excited to kick off the 24/25 ski season on our scheduled opening day of Saturday, November 16! This season, we’re freshening things up and have retired the daily snow report emails many of our loyal followers are used to receiving. But, there will still be plenty of ways to receive snow alerts and get the low down on our snow amounts.
Open Snow
First, if you still want that daily snow report email you’ve grown accustomed to, you can create an account on OpenSnow (free or as a paid subscriber). We will still be submitting snow data to them each day, so you will be able to receive the same emailed snow report that you’ve been getting from us.
1. Head over to OpenSnow.com
2. Set up an account, if you don’t already have one
3. Go to Settings
4. Choose Your Snow Alerts
Text
Sign up for text alerts and you’ll get a message when we get snow! We’ll have 2 options for this:
FRESH – We’ll text this group the morning after we get any snowfall.
POW – We’ll text this group the morning after we get 6″ or more.
By participating, you consent to receive recurring autodialed SMS/MMS promotional messages. No purchase required. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to end.
The Purg App
Download the Purgatory Mobile App on your Apple or Android device and enable notifications. We’ll send out update messages the morning after overnight snowfall to anyone on the app.
You’ll also be able to access weather forecasts, snow conditions, mountain cams and more, right from your phone.
The Purgatory Voicemail
A few of you may recall that we also update our voicemail each morning with the daily snow report!
Just call the Purgatory main number at (970) 385-2166 and listen to the recording!
